22.04.2021

Edenred Bulgaria commits to equality in the workplace by signing the Diversity Charter in Bulgaria.

Харта на Многообразието

By signing the Diversity Charter, our organization confirms its commitment to tolerance, respect, and considerations towards each person´s uniqueness, values we have been putting into practice in the last 18 years. Equal opportunities in the workplace, regardless of, for example, age, disability, gender, race or ethnic origin, religion, or sexual orientation are of highest importance to us.

Medhi Benbouguerra, Managing Director of Edenred Bulgaria, today becomes Ambassador of Diversity in Bulgaria:

“As a company, we believe diversity sits at the root of innovation. That’s why we encourage employees to express their diverse opinions and ideas. We want them to feel empowered and to recognize that their unique contributions can make a real difference. I strongly believe that diversity is directly linked to our ability to achieve our goals, and to become both an employer of choice and a leader in the markets in which we operate”.

The benefits of Diversity in the workplace are undisputable. It is not only a key factor for creativity, innovation, growth and productivity, but also an incentive for employees to improve their knowledge, talents and skills and contributes to the long-term success of the organization.

The Bulgarian Diversity Charter, a joint initiative of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) and the Centre for the Study of Democracy (CSD), was launched in Sofia on 18 September 2020.

Edenred Bulgaria is among the first signatories of the Diversity Charter in the country. Being an active member company of BBLF, Edenred has now sent a clear message towards the whole business community to recognize the importance of diversity among employees, customers, and suppliers as a driver of development and success.

In Europe, the Diversity Charter today brings together more than 8,000 signatories from 25 EU Member States, which have embraced the principles of the Charter at national level. More than 14 million employees already benefit from the commitment of signatory companies, enjoying the virtues of more tolerant and inclusive society.
